Bits & Bobs in Reykjavik

One of my favorite images from the day.

Here’s one to get you oriented the capital city on a rainy morning.

Reykjavik from Hallgrimskirkja

A little knitting love on the streets.

Wrister for a Signpost

Wrister for a Signpost..though I don’t know what the Icelandic translates as….hopefully nothing horrid.

A window lattice completely strung will daisies.

Shadows of lace…even more ethereal than the real thing.

But the real thing is quite stunning, what a thoughtful play of light and shadow in their display!

Icelandic Triangular Shawls

I would have brought this home and made it mine.  But should one really pay $30USD for a cupcake duster?

If only it wasn't $30, I would have took it home and made it mine.

didn’t buy it = more money for wool.

góða nótt!

fyi: this is hour 28 of keeping my eyes open, man I can’t wait to hit the pillow!

  1. Such lovely images, Shelly. And oh, I would have been tempted by the cupcake duster. Though I’ve never seen images dusted on cupcakes before, it seems so perfect for your needlework life. Thanks for taking us along on the trip!
